Died peacefully, surrounded by family, in hospital, on Saturday, March 18,2017, at the age of 94.
Loving husband of the late Eva (McCaffrey).
Devoted father of Sylvia Henderson (Derek), Mary McDonald (Philip) and Marjorie McDonald (Mike).
Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Laura, Anne, Valerie, Philip, Cheryl, Jennifer, and Melissa, and great-grandfather of Erin, Samuel and Lily.
Predeceased by his brothers James and Fredrick Cassidy.
Mike will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Ottawa General Hospital.
Mike loved talking about history and politics and the horses.
He was a world war II veteran who had a post military career with the N.R.C.
and the Corps of Commissionaires.
