<div itemprop="description">CASSIDY, Michael <br>CAF (Ret’d) <br>1922-2017 <br> <br>Died peacefully, surrounded by family, in hospital, on Saturday, March 18,2017, at the age of 94. <br>Loving husband of the late Eva (McCaffrey). &nbsp; <br>Devoted father of Sylvia Henderson (Derek), Mary McDonald (Philip) and Marjorie McDonald (Mike). <br>Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Laura, Anne, Valerie, Philip, Cheryl, Jennifer, and Melissa, and great-grandfather of Erin, Samuel and Lily. <br>Predeceased by his brothers James and Fredrick Cassidy. <br>Mike will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. <br>The family would like to thank&nbsp;the staff of the Ottawa General Hospital. <br>Mike loved talking about history and politics and the horses. &nbsp; <br>He was a world war II veteran who had a post military career with the N.R.C. <br>and the Corps of Commissionaires. <br> <br>Friends may pay respects at <br> <br>Kelly Funeral Home – Kanata Chapel <br>580 Eagleson Rd. <br>613-591-6580 <br> <br>From 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00-9:00pm on Thursday, March 23, 2017. <br>A Memorial Service for Mike will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Church (44 Rothesay Dr.) on <br>Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00am.
