God has called Jill home to be with her son Christopher. She is finally at peace. Born in Toronto, Jill was an amazingly compassionate and giving person who was loved by so many people. She spent countless hours organizing and leading trips for the Kanata Seniors Centre. She believed in giving back to the community and recently as May walked in the Hike for Hospice. St. Paul's Anglican Church in Kanata was Jill's "second home". She was active in many areas in the parish and particularly loved the praise music on Sunday morning. Jill's life was difficult over the past few years but she rose above every challenge with strength, determination and always a smile. Jill is survived by her sister Ruth and niece Jennifer. Her "foster grandchild" Matthew Van as well as close friends Jean, Chris, Eleanor and Melissa also survive her. Special thanks to Dr. Patricia Mouaikel, nurse Kathleen Mogan and Palliative Care Consultant Maryse Bouvette who supported Jill throughout her illness with compassion and understanding.
