<div itemprop="description">ELLAS, George “Rick” <br>George “Rick” Ellas died on Sunday, October 30th 2016, at the young age of 59, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born March 1, 1957 to George and Mabel (Dillon) Ellas in Hamilton, Ontario. His family moved to Astorville, Ontario in 1969. On October 29th he celebrated 28 years of marriage with his wife Christine (nee Charters). <br>He leaves behind his wife Christine; his daughter, Madison; his mother, Mabel; his 2 brothers, John and Larry; as well as his extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father George Ellas. <br>Rick was extremely proud of having graduated from McMaster University in 1981, with a degree in Engineering Physics. After spending many years in high-tech sales, Rick began a new career in 1995 as a financial planner, starting his own business in 2001. <br>Rick was an avid skier, he loved playing hockey and working on cars with his daughter. Rick thought of his clients as friends and would do anything he could to give them a hand, from buying tires to fixing snow blowers. He was incredibly good with his hands and enjoyed working on a variety of projects with his good friend Dave Neale.
