Angela "Angie" McGlashan
April 28, 1947 - January 7, 2015
McGlashan, Angela "Angie"
On Wednesday, January 7, 2015 Angie passed away suddenly and unexpectedly with her husband and best friend of 51 years Bruce by her side.
Cherished mother of 2 beautiful daughters, Jennifer and Cindy (Darcey) and Nona to her exceptional granddaughter, Maria (Munchkin).
Bruce and Angie decided to retire and relocate to Ottawa from Calgary in 2013 where they were able to buy their dream house and where Angie was able to use her decorating skills to create a beautiful home and a garden and yard that was a true oasis.
Angie had many talents and interests that included cooking, baking, sewing, quilt making, needlepoint, puzzles, crafting with her Munchkin and her true passion, gardening.
Bruce and Angie were true soulmates and their love story inspired us all. She was the best Mommy in the world - there was nothing she wouldn't do for her girls. She was absolutely devoted to her granddaughter Maria - she was the light of her life.
Family was everything to Angie. She is survived by her sister Carmie (Rod), brothers Mimi (Donna) and Frankie (Gayla), Sister-in-law Sandy (John), many loving aunts, uncles and cousins and countless friends across the Country.
Angie left us way too soon but we are comforted by knowing she has been reunited with her Mom and Dad (Maria and Natale Russo) in heaven.
In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to The Heart and Stoke Foundation or the Arthritis Society. Arrangements are in care of
